Cops & Robbers

This is pitched as a Mirror’s Edge Parkour game, but I think that is a bit misleading. It has more of a straight platformer feel to me, all though you do jump off of walls and such. You run from the cops, through a variety of obstacles, both on street level and atop buildings. Speed and precision is the key. There are also mini-games along the way. It’s a decent little game, by Glu.

Shaky Summit

Probably too early to rate this one, because I haven’t played it enough, but it is an interesting concept. You race against your opponent across a landscape littered with boulders, logs, and such. You try to avoid the obstacles, since they slow you down, and you try to scale a mountain before your opponent. What aids you in this pursuit, is the ability to create earthquakes that have the potential to bounce objects into, or on top of, the opponent. You are also affected by earthquakes, though, so you have to be careful. Pretty kewl idea with nice artwork. It has tons of low ratings in the app store, but my guess is that people didn’t like the fact that you don’t have direct control of your racer, they didn’t give it a chance, or both.
